Super Bowl LI, the 51st edition of the Super Bowl and the 47th modern-era National Football League championship game, is scheduled to be played in 2017. Fox will telecast the game in the United States. The league will select the sites for both Super Bowl L and Super Bowl LI in early 2013. On October 16, 2012, the NFL announced that Houston’s Reliant Stadium was a finalist to host the game.
