McClellan-Palomar Airport is situated just three miles southwest of downtown Carlsbad, serving as a convenient gateway to and from San Diego’s North County. The airport is owned by San Diego County’s Airport Authority and provides limited commercial flights, private aircraft services, and general aviation facilities. This location replaced an older county airport that was originally located in Del Mar during the 1950s.
