McClellan-Palomar is located 3 miles southwest of downtown Carlsbad. Owned by San Diego County’s Airport Authority, this north county airport offers limited commercial flights, private services, and general aviation. As previously mentioned, the runway at CRQ is a single one, in a busy general aviation facility. There are three FBOs and a heliport terminal, in addition to the main terminal building for boutique flights and their passengers at McClellan-Palomar
