The newly renamed Harry Reid International Airport is the principal commercial airport serving Las Vegas and Clark County, Nevada. The airport is five miles south of downtown Las Vegas, in the unincorporated area of Paradise in Clark County, Nevada. Harry Reid International Airport is located in Paradise, Nevada. This airport is adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip and the region’s primary gateway. This major metropolitan airport is in Paradise, about 5 miles south of central Las Vegas. LAS is owned by Clark County and operated by its Department of Aviation. KLAS was formerly named for Pat McCarran, a past senator who contributed to the growth of aviation in Las Vegas and nationally.
