Lynden Pindling International Airport is the most active airport in the Caribbean. In Nassau, it is also the biggest airport in all of the Bahamas. Renovated in 2013, more than 5 million passengers are estimated to travel to the international airport before 2020.
There are US border preclearance facilities on-site, and flights from the US are designated as domestic rather than international for trips to Nassau.
Lynden Pindling International Airport functions under noise restriction during overnight hours, and there are two long runways. Runway 14/32 is 11,353 feet long, and 09/27 is 8,273 feet long.
