Livermore Municipal Airport is three miles west of downtown Livermore, California, in Alameda County. Designated as a regional reliever facility by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), there is one runway of more than 5,000 feet with approved ILS approaches. Outside of the San Franciso Bay Area fog bank, the Livermore Airport is often clear with visible weather conditions. Oakland International Airport is about 24 miles west, and the San Jose International Airport (SJC) is approximately 35 miles southwest of LVK.
98% of the traffic flying in and out of LVK is general aviation , and there are no scheduled commercial flights at present. There are two runways and one helicopter pad at the city-owned municipal airport.
