The Learjet 60 is a midsize, medium-range business jet manufactured initially by Bombardier Aerospace in Wichita, Kansas. Designed for high-speed cruise and rapid climbs, the Lear 60 was powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW305A engines and was known for its efficient operating performance in the midsize category.
With a range of approximately 2,405 nautical miles (with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves), the Learjet 60 became a popular aircraft for domestic U.S. charters and select international routes. It featured a stand-up cabin, an enclosed lavatory, and seating for 7 to 8 passengers.
In 2012, Bombardier announced a production pause on the Learjet 60XR, the final iteration of the model, effectively ending new production for this aircraft line.
JetOptions now classifies the Learjet 60 as a Legacy Charter Jet, available on request in limited markets. While still capable, the Learjet 60 is no longer part of our actively promoted midsize fleet due to its legacy production status and variable availability in today’s market.
