Irving is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas within Dallas County. Irving is within the Dallas–Plano–Irving metropolitan division of the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area, designated by the U.S. Census Bureau and colloquially referred to as the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the city population was 216,290 making it the thirteenth most populous city in Texas.
