The Gulfstream G280 is a twin-engine business jet developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and manufactured for Gulfstream Aerospace. It is classified as a super midsize jet and is part of Gulfstream’s long-range, high-performance aircraft family.
The G280 is based on the earlier Gulfstream G200 but includes a larger cabin, more powerful engines, and a modern avionics suite. It first flew in 2009 and received FAA certification in 2012. Customer deliveries began later that year.
The aircraft is powered by two Honeywell HTF7250G turbofan engines, enabling it to reach cruise speeds of approximately Mach 0.85. It is capable of flying up to 3,600 nautical miles, depending on conditions and load. The G280 has a service ceiling of 45,000 feet and can carry up to 10 passengers in typical configurations.
