Eagle County Regional Airport is 4 miles west of Eagle, Colorado. The Vail-Eagle airport or the Eagle-Vail Airport serves Eagle County, nearby Vail, and the Beaver Creek ski resorts. There is a single long runway of 9,000 feet in length. This busy winter destination is rated by the History Channel as one of it’s most extreme airports due to EGE’s elevation, variability in weather, mountainous terrain, and challenging departure procedures.
