The Cessna CitationJet/CJ series (Model 525) are American turbofan-powered light corporate jets built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. The Citation brand of business jets encompasses seven distinct “families” of aircraft. The Model 525 CitationJet was the basis for one of these families, which contains the CJ, CJ1 and CJ1+, CJ2 and CJ2+, CJ3. and CJ4 models.

The Cessna Citation Jet family offers a variety of private jet models. The smallest, Cessna Citation CJ4, was delivered in 2010 and was intended for short and medium-haul flights. It features a circular fuselage, Honeywell HTF-7000 turbofan engines, and cross-country ranges.

Citation III is a shortened, updated version of Citation II, which flew for the first time in May 1976. Designed initially as a three-engine trijet, it was later changed to a twin-engine configuration. Citation III was certified in April 1982 and was intended to extend the Citation’s transatlantic range. Although it did not reach that, it added around 600 miles to Citation II’s range.
The Citation Jet’s upgraded flight deck is equipped with advanced Garmin avionics. The G5000 avionics suite has touchscreen controllers, a large lateral display, and dimensional terrain renderings. The primary flight display features Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology. A large color screen complements the flight deck’s display, and its window offers an expansive view of the outside environment.
