Super Bowl 2020: Your Guide to Flying By Private Jet for the Game

Sixty-five thousand football fans are readying themselves to descend on the Miami Gardens Hard Rock Stadium for the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 2, between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

The official festivities kick off on Friday, January 25, with Super Bowl sanctioned events across Miami, Miami Gardens, and Fort Lauderdale. In total, more than 200,000 people are expected to arrive in Miami for events surrounding the game and Super Bowl weekend.

Private Jet Airport Restrictions

A designated National Security Special Event, the FAA has put in special restrictions for airspace surrounding Miami beginning January 27 through February 4, 2020. Reservations are required for private jets at the following airports:

  • Miami International Airport (MIA)
  • Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
  • Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE)
  • Miami-Opa Locka Airport (OPF)
  • Miami Executive Airport (TMB)
  • Boca Raton Airport (BCT)

It’s going to be very busy in the air surrounding Miami for Super Bowl week. And don’t forget, those flight restrictions include drones. Don’t bring (or fly) your drone at or near Bayfront Park or the Miami Beach Convention Center on January 25 through February 1. And it goes without saying, no drones allowed at or near the Super Bowl on game day.
