At the regional forum at Westchester County Airport, NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen said that NBAA and AOPA will be filing a suit (either next week or the week after) to halt the DOT’s plan to continue with its dismantling of Barr. The agency has summarily dismissed extensive public comment opposing such a move. For more than a decade, the block aircraft registration program has allowed aircraft operators to opt out of publicly available Internet tracking of their movements.
