LABACE 2012 Begins August 15 in São Paulo, Brazil

The Latin American Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (LABACE) continues to grow, and next week’s show, to be held from August 15 to 17 in São Paulo, Brazil, will be the biggest and best yet, according to the sponsoring Aviação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (Abag). With 30 percent more exhibit space available this year, the event could easily break last year’s record 170 exhibitors, according to Abag chairman Eduardo Marson. There were 67 airplanes on display in 2011, 12 more than in 2010, and this year the additional ramp space will accommodate nearly 75 airplanes, including an ACJ318 from Airbus and a Lineage 1000 from Embraer. It will be the show debut for the Lineage. Last year, 15,420 visitors came through the gate at Congonhas Airport, surpassing expectations although the general admission price had nearly doubled. And even with a small increase in general admission this year, Marson said he anticipates a 15-percent jump at the gate. JetOptions will be attending LABACE.
