A Gulfstream G450 recently established a city-pair speed record between Savannah, Ga., and São Paulo, completing the 3,922-nm trip in 8+50. The average cruise speed was Mach 0.80, with altitudes ranging from 41,000 to 45,000 feet. Six passengers, a flight attendant and captains Eric Parker and Jaime Bahamon were on board. The National Aeronautic Association confirmed the flight as a U.S. record; Federation Aeronautique Internationale approval as a world record is pending.
