The Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) approval has been given at company level, with Albernati’s pilots now able to land in CAT II conditions at any airport with the required ground equipment.
The approvals, to be reviewed on a six monthly basis, mean that the company’s pilots have greater flexibility landing in adverse weather conditions, with a decision height reduced to 100 feet, and runway visual range reduced to 300 meters.
