The Airbus Corporate Jet 318 (the Elite) is an entry-level Airbus ACJ family airliner with a range of 4,200 nm. For the cabin design of the A318 Elite, Airbus partnered with Lufthansa Technik. The cabin measures a lengthy 70.2 feet from front to back, is 12.2 feet wide, and is 7.4 feet high, featuring a large cabin size that allows for up to 19 passengers. While the A318 was initially developed for airline use, it has become popular among private jet owners because of its efficiency and affordability. Its cabin offers plenty of room for passengers to relax and work and is easy to operate from many airports worldwide.
The ACJ318 offers features unavailable to other business jets, such as public transport certification, centralized maintenance, side stick controllers, fly-by-wire controls, carbon brakes, category 3B auto land, and a choice of engines and auxiliary power units. State-of-the-art environmental management ensures that interior cabin space is quiet and ideal for productivity while in the air—seating 8 to 19 passengers with chairs and divans clustered in several lounge areas throughout the cabin.
Airbus, which sells its A320 family of commercial airplanes under the brand names ACJ and A319, launched the ACJ318 Enhanced in 2012, offering a wide array of cabin amenities and upgrades to enhance customer comfort. These include new interior finishes, window shades, LED cabin lights, improved in-flight entertainment and communication systems, wingtip “sharklets” that add range by improving aerodynamics, an aft lavatory shower, and cabin air humidification.
