The First Learjet 45XR Business Jet Was Delivered 10 Years Ago This Week

The Learjet 45XR version of the Learjet 45 was first delivered 10 years ago this week in 2004 and included up-rated TFE731-20-BR engines flat-rated at 3,500 pounds of thrust at 104 degrees F, up from the original Lear 45’s rating of 86 degrees F. This power increase reduced balanced field length, especially under high and hot conditions and, improved the aircraft‘s climb performance. The XR upgrade also upped the gross weight by a thousand pounds, greatly increasing the type’s utility.
The Learjet 45XR is a super light or mid jet jet that is an upgraded version of the Learjet 45. It offers higher takeoff weights, faster cruise speeds and faster time-to-climb rates than its predecessor. It has a high speed cruise of 535mph and has a range of 2,186 nm, The Learjet 45XR features the longest cabin and more seated head – shoulder – and legroom than its competitors. the cabin features an eight (8) seat double club configuration.
