The 72nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards at Microsoft Theater is changed to a virtual format for 2020.
The Television Academy honors the best shows and actors in primetime television on a live show that’s traditionally broadcast on Sunday from Los Angeles. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the announcements for this year’s nominees will be made two weeks later this year on July 28th.
The Creative Arts Emmys are moved to a virtual format with dates TBA while the Governors Ball is canceled for 2020. More announcements including the hosts and show details coming soon.
