Updated: Cannes has announced a postponement of the festival until June 22, through June 26, 2020 and the festival will occur online only this year.
The 73rd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. This invitation-only event takes place in June and awards prizes by jury selection for eleven categories including the prestigious Palme d’Or while nine additional awards are awarded by independent organizations. Held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, the home of the Festival de Cannes is at this seaside convention center each year. The 2020 jury president is filmmaker Spike Lee.
