Europe braces for more wintry weather and travel disruptions

Snow and freezing temperatures are expected to disrupt travel across Europe in the days leading up to Christmas. European weather agencies have reported icy roads, drifting snow and other challenges in Germany, Scotland and elsewhere. “Given the fact that we’re going to see quite a rapid change and a fall in temperature, there is the potential for some disruption to travel networks,” said John Hammond, a spokesman for the Met Office, a state-funded weather agency in the U.K.
