Embraer To Build Business Jets in China

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer will soon begin producing Legacy 600 and 650 super midsize business jets in Harbin in northeastern China. The company ended production late last year in that city of ERJ-135 regional jets; and it will now use the same tooling, with some adjustments, to make about 20 of the ERJ-135-derived business jets annually. Deliveries, primarily to the Chinese market, will begin in the next 18 months, according to a company spokeswoman.
