Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is the fourth-largest airport in the U.S., thanks to its operations, and the eleventh-largest in the world thanks to the 65.7 million passengers who passed through its doors in 2016.

History
The idea for Dallas-Fort Worth Airport dates back as far as 1927 when Dallas proposed a joint airport with Fort Worth. However, it wasn’t until 1961, when this joint proposal was revisited, that the plans for the airport started to take shape. In 1973, a dedication ceremony and open house were held at DFW, which included the United States’ first landing of the Concorde. Over the years, DFW has seen many state-of-the-art renovations which have created the vast runways, extensive facilities, and modern terminals found today.

DFW International Airport Location

DFW is between the cities of Fort Worth and Dallas, including parts of Coppell, Grapevine, Euless, and Irving. The airport can be accessed by Interstate 635 or State Highway 114 (from the north) or State Highway 183 (from the south).

DFW Private Jet Facilities

With five main terminal buildings, DFW boasts a whole host of amenities, including over 120 dining venues, kiosks, and shops. There are also many airline lounges and clubs available, with the airport’s business facilities located at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport Hotel. These prestigious, hi-tech facilities are what have helped DFW become one of the most popular airports in the world, providing both business and commercial travelers with all they need to enjoy their flights.
