Your pets are part of your family—and at JetOptions, we treat them that way. With our pet-friendly private jet charters, your dogs, cats, and other companion animals can travel safely and comfortably right beside you in the cabin. No cargo holds, no stress—just a curated travel experience tailored to you and your pet.
Whether planning a cross-country move, a vacation, or a quick getaway, JetOptions makes flying with pets seamless, secure, and personalized.
Unlike commercial airlines, which limit breeds and require small pets to ride under the seat or larger ones in cargo, private jet travel gives you far more flexibility.
With JetOptions, you can fly with:
Dogs (of all breeds and sizes)
Cats
Small domestic animals (like rabbits or ferrets)
Other healthy, vaccinated pets (case-by-case approval)
Pets fly with you in the cabin, never in cargo, and they’re welcome to stretch out in a comfortable area of the cabin or sit near you in a harness or crate.
Due to the cabin environment and regulatory restrictions, reptiles, birds, and exotic animals are not recommended on charter flights for safety reasons.
To ensure a smooth experience for both you and your pet, we recommend the following:
Rabies vaccination certificate
Veterinary health certificate
Proof your pet is at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned
Confirmation that your pet is healthy, non-aggressive, and not in distress
Valid microchip (ISO-compliant)
Completed CDC import form (valid for 6 months)
Documentation of pet’s travel history for the past 6 months
Additional country-specific vaccination and entry permits
We’ll work with you to ensure you have everything needed for your destination. You can also consult your vet or our team for international pet entry rules.
As of August 1, 2024, the CDC has implemented updated requirements for bringing pets into the United States:
Pets must be at least 6 months old and microchipped
Rabies vaccination must be up to date
CDC import form must be completed for each pet
A 6-month travel history is required to confirm the pet has not been in a high-risk country for rabies
JetOptions’ team will help ensure your paperwork complies with the latest regulations.
Flying private is naturally more relaxing for pets, but here are a few ways to make their trip even smoother:
Bring their favorite toy, blanket, or treat to create a sense of familiarity
Use a soft harness instead of a collar for better comfort
Allow time to exercise your pet before arriving at the airport
Feed lightly before departure and pack pee pads or travel bowls for long flights
Provide treats or water during takeoff and landing to help equalize ear pressure
Our experienced flight crews are trained to help make pets feel comfortable onboard.
Here’s a quick packing list to prepare your pet for flight:
Vaccination records & travel documents
Pet carrier or harness (for takeoff/landing)
Food, treats, and collapsible water bowl
Waste bags and absorbent pads (especially for longer flights)
Favorite toy or blanket
Extra leash or comfort harness
Medications (if needed)
If you’d prefer, JetOptions can arrange pet-friendly catering and stock any special items in advance through our concierge services.
