It is a 7.8bn order for 56 Bombardier Global jets and options for an additional 86.
Bombardier‘s largest ever sale of business aircraft – and indeed the largest single transaction in the history of business aviation – was announced on Tuesday. VistaJet has signed a deal for up to 142 Global business jets which includes firm orders for 56 aircraft, plus options for a further 86.
Based on the 2012 US list price, the order is valued at more than $7.8bn if all options are exercised – topping the $7.3bn agreement Bombardier reached with NetJets five months ago for as many as 275 Challenger aircraft.
The firm order, valued at $3.1bn, comprises 25 Global 5000, 25 Global 6000 and six Global 8000 jets. Deliveries of these aircraft will begin in 2014. The agreement also includes options for 40 Global 5000, 40 Global 6000 and six Global 8000 jets. JetOptions has the full line of Global Business Jets available for charter. Read the full story here.
