Bombardier has Largest Single Transaction in the History of Business Aviation

It is a 7.8bn order for 56 Bombardier Global jets and options for an additional 86.

Bombardier’s most significant ever sale of business aircraft – and indeed the largest single transaction in the history of business aviation – was announced on Tuesday. VistaJet has signed a deal for up to 142 Global business jets , including firm orders for 56 aircraft, plus options for a further 86.

Based on the 2012 US list price, the order is valued at more than $7.8bn if all options are exercised – topping the $7.3bn agreement Bombardier reached with NetJets five months ago for as many as 275 Challenger aircraft.

The firm order, valued at $3.1bn, comprises 25 Global 5000, 25 Global 6000 , and 6 Global 8000 jets. Deliveries of these aircraft will begin in 2014. The agreement also includes options for 40 Global 5000, 40 Global 6000 , and six Global 8000 jets. JetOptions has the full line of Global Business Jets available for charter.
