Bombardier Global to Receive Satcom Direct Routers

Yesterday, the FAA issued supplemental type certificates (STCs) to Jet Aviation’s St. Louis facility to install Satcom Direct’s router onboard several Bombardier Global models.

Jet Aviation St. Louis Senior Manager Avionics Sales Blake Hogge speaks highly of the Satcom Direct Router (SDR), as the upgraded router delivers better bandwidth capabilities, allowing more data transfer for Bombardier Global aircraft. According to a Satcom Direct company statement, “the SDR allows customers to manage all cabin communications systems in combination with Inmarsat Swift 64, SwiftBroadband, Ku-Band, and Ka-Band satellite connections.”

Textron Aviation Independence facility delivers the 10,000th single-engine aircraft.

Textron Aviation announced that Cessna Aircraft Company delivered the 10,000th single-engine aircraft from its Independence, Kan. facility since its first delivery in June 1996. Liberty University took delivery of this milestone aircraft, a Cessna Skyhawk, along with two other Cessna Skyhawks, adding to its growing flight training fleet.
