Bombardier Learjet Delivers First EASA-registered Learjet 75 and More BizAv News

NBAA announced today the dates and locations of the association’s 2015 business aviation regional forums. “NBAA is pleased to once again provide these popular one-day events. The regional forums offer some of the benefits of our annual convention–access to exhibits, aircraft on display, education sessions and more–in convenient locations across the U.S.,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen.

The first forum of the year will take place February 19 in West Palm Beach, Fla., hosted by Atlantic Aviation at Palm Beach International Airport, with additional support from Gama Aviation and Signature Flight Support. On June 25, the second forum will be held at Teterboro (N.J.) Airport, with Landmark Aviation as the host FBO. The final forum for next year is set for September 17 at St. Louis Downtown Airport in East St. Louis, Ill., with Jet Aviation hosting.

While the economy has grown stronger, there is still a lot of work to do to support business aviation’s recovery in the policy arena, NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen told the attendees at a chief pilots roundtable late last week in Washington, D.C.“The expectation is, as we work our way through the remainder of 2014, that the U.S. economy will continue to strengthen,” he said, noting gains in aviation fuel sales and flight activity, as well as declining inventory and stabilizing sales prices for pre-owned aircraft.

First European delivery, only days after receiving EASA’s full type certification

Bombardier Learjet Delivers First EASA-registered Learjet 75 Aircraft

Bombardier, the world’s leading business aircraft manufacturer, celebrated the delivery of the first EASA-registered Learjet 75 aircraft to the Roullier Group, a company based in France. The aircraft was delivered during a special ceremony at Bombardier’s facility in Wichita, Kansas and will be operated out of France.

The Learjet 75 aircraft, along with the Learjet 70 aircraft, received full type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on September 12.

“We are delighted to see the first Learjet 75 aircraft enter into service in Europe, and we are confident that its performance and efficiency, combined with its completely new interior, will allow the Roullier Group to optimize their business missions”, said Simon Burrows, Regional Vice President, Sales, Western Europe, Bombardier Business Aircraft.
