The Gulfstream G650 is a twin-engine, ultra-long-range business jet developed and manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace, a division of General Dynamics. As one of the most advanced aircraft in the private aviation sector, the G650 combines exceptional speed, range, and cabin comfort, making it a benchmark in large-cabin business jets.
Development of the G650 began in 2005, with the official launch announced to the public in 2008. The aircraft first flew in 2009 and received FAA certification in 2012. It quickly became a flagship model in the Gulfstream lineup and remains in high demand for long-haul charter flights and executive transport.
With a maximum speed of Mach 0.925 and a range of up to 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km), the Gulfstream G650 is capable of flying nonstop between major international city pairs such as New York to Tokyo, London to Buenos Aires, or Los Angeles to Dubai. The aircraft’s impressive range is made possible by its advanced wing design, high-thrust Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, and lightweight composite construction.
The G650’s spacious cabin accommodates between 14 and 18 passengers, depending on configuration. The interior can include four distinct living zones, lie-flat beds, conference tables, and a full galley. The aircraft features 16 signature Gulfstream oval windows, a low cabin altitude of 4,100 feet, and 100% fresh air circulation, all of which enhance comfort on long-duration flights.
